About
Child Evangelism Fellowship® is a Bible-centered organization composed of born-again believers whose purpose is to evangelize boys and girls with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and to establish (disciple) them in the Word of God and in a local church for Christian living. We believe the light of God’s Word needs to be given to everyone, children included.
Child Evangelism Fellowship of Broome, Tioga, and Cortland Counties is a local chapter of Child Evangelism Fellowship USA Ministries. Our mission is to partner with local churches to train leaders to reach children in our local area with the gospel.
CEF has three purposes in its ministry:
- Evangelism: Teach children about God’s love and plan for their lives.
- Discipleship: Teach children to grow in the Christian life.
- Establish them in a local church.
The work of your local CEF is varied and it relies on local Christians heeding the call of God on their own hearts! As you learn more about your local CEF chapter, you will see how it can serve you and your family, and also how you can serve.
CEF International, the ‘parent’ organization of local CEFs has tremendous resources as well. We encourage you to visit their site to learn more about the resources we utilize and the opportunities available through the national office. Excellent online training programs are available (some free, some with a cost). All teaching materials can be purchased through your local CEF at a discount. We may even have resources you could borrow.
