Greater Pittsburgh Summer Missionary in 2014

“This summer I learned as much as I taught and the children I taught were (for the most part) totally receptive to the message of Jesus. I answered many questions that the children had about God. Most of the questions were very intellectual, even college level questions, and to answer them was sometimes stretching. Ultimately, I enjoyed teaching them more than I could begin to describe. I learned two important lessons: 1.) prayer is power, and 2.) always obey God even when there are challenges in your way. This summer I learned, taught, obeyed, and grew. Just like one of the bible verses our team taught this summer, “But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ” (2 Peter 3:18). Never stop growing. I was able to obey God and was used to bring children to Christ.”
